The U16 Belize Boys National Team (BBNT) return to action Saturday morning in their second group match of the 2025 UNCAF FIFA Forward U16 Boys Tournament, taking on Honduras at 9:00 am at the Centro Deportivo Ernesto Villa in Guatemala City.
Belize are looking to bounce back after a tough 0–3 loss to Costa Rica on Thursday, October 2. The Central American powerhouse struck three times in the first half, leaving Belize with ground to recover in the tightly contested Group B.
Saturday’s clash against Honduras is pivotal. Honduras opened their campaign with a 4–2 win over El Salvador on Tuesday and will be aiming to secure a second victory to strengthen their semifinal hopes. Belize, meanwhile, need a result to stay in contention ahead of their final group match against El Salvador on Monday, October 6.

Friday’s Group A matches saw Guatemala edge Nicaragua 2–1 and Panama cruise past Cuba 4–0, reshuffling the standings in the opposite bracket. Earlier in the week, Nicaragua had stunned Panama 2–1, while Cuba had slipped past hosts Guatemala 1–0.
Belize’s starting lineup against Costa Rica featured Erick Rodriguez (#01) in goal, with a back four of Clive Medwood Jr (#03), Elroy Willis Jr (#05), Barack Morey (#04), and Antwan Latchman (#14). Deon Meighan (#10) anchored the midfield behind Jahvyn Clarke (#20) and Daayvion Serano (#07), while the attacking trio included Dornell Marshall (#11), Marlon Meza Jr (#10), and Juan Diego Dussan (#08).
In the other Group B match on Saturday, Costa Rica take on El Salvador at midday.
With tournament intensity rising and group standings taking shape, Belize will be hoping for a strong showing today to reignite their campaign.
