“Belize stands in solidarity with the Government and People of Venezuela as regional humanitarian assistance begins its journey to communities affected by the recent earthquakes,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
Belize’s High Commissioner to Guyana, Gale Miller Garnett, joined Rtd. Brigadier Mark Phillips, Prime Minister of Guyana, for photos at the Port of Georgetown.
The Government of Belize expressed appreciation to the Government of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana for coordinating CARICOM’s humanitarian response and facilitating the shipment of relief supplies to Venezuela.
Belize also commended its High Commission in Georgetown, led by Garnett, for coordinating Belize’s contribution and working closely with the Guyanese authorities to ensure the timely delivery of the country’s three containers of humanitarian assistance.
