By Horace Palacio: Belize is set to experience mostly sunny and dry conditions today, with isolated showers, as forecasted by the National Meteorological Service of Belize in their latest report at 6:00 AM.
The forecast, predicting a day of clear skies and light winds, comes as a boon for tourism and outdoor activities in the country. According to the meteorological service, coastal areas will see temperatures ranging between 84°F (29°C) and 76°F (24°C), while inland regions can expect slightly higher temperatures, peaking at 88°F (31°C).
Marine conditions are favorable, with light and variable winds and a slight sea state, waves measuring 1-3 feet, conducive to maritime activities.
Looking ahead, the weather is expected to remain fair and dry into Friday, continuing the trend of pleasant conditions. The sun rose at 6:24 AM and will set at 5:31 PM, with the moon set for 12:02 PM today and rising again at 12:49 AM tomorrow.
Derrick Rudon, the forecaster responsible for today’s report, emphasized the rarity of showers in the current dry spell, suggesting ideal conditions for exploring Belize’s natural landscapes and outdoor pursuits.
