By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: For the 26th consecutive year, Belize Electricity Limited (BEL) has continued its heartwarming tradition of spreading holiday cheer by distributing Christmas hampers and care packages to those in need.
This year, a total of 220 hampers and 100 care packages were delivered to deserving families and senior citizens across Belize.
The hampers, which are designed to provide essential groceries and ingredients for preparing traditional Christmas meals, aim to ease the financial burden of the holiday season.
The care packages, in addition to groceries, also include toiletries and other household necessities, offering further support to families facing challenges.
“Giving back to our community is part of our BEL culture,” the company said.
The hampers and care packages were distributed with the help of BEL employees, who utilized their close ties to local communities to ensure that these gifts reached the people who needed them most.
