By Zoila Palma: The Belize Defence Force (BDF) is inviting the public to join in celebrating its 48th anniversary with BDF Day 2026 on January 31, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Price Barracks.
The event promises a full day of family fun, entertainment, and military displays, with entry priced at just $2.
Visitors will have the chance to participate in a mega raffle to win an 18’ x 24’ move-in-ready metal home, with tickets available for $5 each.
A free shuttle service will operate between Pound Yard Bridge and Price Barracks from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m..
Event highlights include bouncy houses and trampolines, a mechanical bull, anime displays and sales, military displays with mock battle simulations, a recruiting drive, a motorcycle show, and a vehicle show by the Belize Estate Company.
Hourly raffles with entry tickets will also keep the excitement going throughout the day.
Attendees can look forward to live performances and musical entertainment, ensuring there is something for everyone, from children to adults.
The event offers an opportunity to engage with the BDF, learn about its operations, and celebrate its decades of service to Belize.
