Belize Defence Force joins search for missing Deborah Arthurs

By Zoila Palma:  The family and friends of Deborah Arthurs,28, is urgently seeking the public’s assistance in locating their loved one who was last seen more than 12 days ago in Belize City.

The Belize Defence Force has since joined the search for the missing mother.

On Wednesday, the BDF conducted in a search near Memorial Garden.

Lt. Cl. Elmer Ramirez told 7News Belize that BDF Staff sergeant Kiron Gongora made the request for the BDF to join the search for his relative.

“So thereafter on the 6th Monday onto Tuesday and today, Wednesday, 8 PDF personnel plus has been assisting with the search. They’ve searched the areas of Ladyville, Lord’s Bank, the John Smith Road, Mile 8 and Hattieville.

Today they are still currently at the Mile 8 area. So those are the areas that the BDF has assisted in terms of the search. The police actually requested for our assistance today in terms of a search, but once the police request our assistance, the Commander BDF is likely to assist,” Ramirez said.

Anyone with information is urged to call the nearest police station.
