By Zoila Palma: Today, the Belize Defence Force (BDF) extended congratulations to Second Lieutenant Jaime Teul of the Belize Defence Force on graduating from the United States Army’s premiere leadership school, Ranger School, Winter Class 03-26 today, 06 March 2026, at Fort Benning, Georgia.
Ranger School is one of the most physically and mentally demanding leadership courses in the United States Army.
The BDF noted that from a starting class of 406 students, only 142 successfully graduated, highlighting the extreme rigor and standards of the course.
Throughout the training, Second Lieutenant Teul was taught to lead soldiers in combat environments, including planning and executing patrols, ambushes, raids, reconnaissance operations, and small-unit tactical missions.
The course also develops mental toughness, discipline, rapid decision-making under stress, and effective leadership while operating with minimal food, sleep, and resources.
“This achievement represents outstanding professional excellence and brings great pride to the Belize Defence Force and Belize,” the BDF expressed.
