By Zoila Palma: Today, the Belize Defence Force concluded its Swimming Instructors Training Course with a closing ceremony recognizing the successful completion of the programme by participating soldiers.
The ceremony was attended by Lieutenant Adonis Salam and certificates were presented by Lieutenant Colonel Jermaine Burns, Commanding Officer, Directorate of Training and Doctrine.
Participants developed the knowledge, confidence, and instructional skills required to safely train and mentor others in military swimming.
“These newly qualified instructors will now play a vital role in enhancing water safety, operational readiness, and the overall training capability of the Belize Defence Force,” the BDF said.
The Commander of the Belize Defence Force, Brigadier General Anthony Velasquez, congratulated all graduates on the successful completion of the Swimming Instructors Training Course.
