By Zoila Palma: Over the past three days, the Belize Coast Guard (BCG), in collaboration with the Belize Police Department (BPD) and the Belize Defense Force (BDF), celebrated Women’s Month by hosting the 9th Annual Wonder Woman Competition.
This unique event, the only one of its kind in Belize, aims to promote inclusivity, female empowerment, and excellence in combat readiness.
The competition featured a series of rigorous physical and mental challenges designed to test leadership, fitness, marksmanship, and teamwork among teams from the Coast Guard, Police, and BDF.
After intense competition, the Coast Guard emerged victorious, narrowly defeating the defending champions, the BDF, while the Police team secured third place.
The Wonder Woman Competition stands as a testament to the strength, resilience, and dedication of Belize’s female law enforcement officers, showcasing their ability to excel in demanding situations while fostering camaraderie across the nation’s security forces.
