Police responded to an emergency call around 12:40 a.m. concerning a stabbing at a residence on Central American Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers found 36-year-old Samira Gentle unconscious on a bed, suffering from multiple stab and cut wounds.

Samira was quickly transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH), where she is currently in critical condition. Preliminary investigations reveal that the altercation occurred shortly before midnight between Gentle and her ex-girlfriend. The two had been socializing and drinking together when a heated argument escalated into violence.

According to police reports, during the confrontation, the ex allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and a machete, inflicting several serious wounds on Gentle before fleeing the scene. The police later processed the location of the incident, recovering a 13-inch kitchen knife and a 32-inch machete, both believed to have been used in the attack.
