By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police are investigating a stabbing incident that left an 18-year-old man injured in the early hours of Friday, December 26, 2025, in Belize City.
According to police reports, at about 4:45 a.m., information was received from the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) control room regarding a stabbing victim at the Accident and
Emergency Unit. Crimes Investigation Branch personnel from Precinct One responded to the hospital.
Upon arrival, officers observed the victim suffering from apparent stab wounds to his right hand, left abdomen, left hip, and left chest area. The injured man was later identified as Gustavo Artiaga, an 18-year-old Belizean construction worker of Emma Street, Belize City.
