By Horace Palacio: On Wednesday night, an armed robbery occurred at the Stake Bank compound near mile five on the George Price Highway. Four thieves entered the property, assaulting two security guards before stealing a white and black Columbian vessel docked nearby.
The Belize Police Department acted quickly, and on Friday morning announced the recovery of the 32-foot boat. However, both 200-horsepower Yamaha outboard engines are still missing.
Authorities are appealing to the public for assistance in locating the stolen engines. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers Belize.
