By Aaron Humes: A man sustained four stab wounds while attempting to prevent an argument early this morning.
Police received a report of a stabbing on Armadillo Street. The victim was escorted to Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital and his name was learnt to be Delbert Palacio, 32, of Burrell Boom Village, Belize District.
Initial investigation revealed that Delbert Palacio and other family members were socializing at a family house on Armadillo Street when an argument ensued between his other family members and several females who also reside on the far left of Armadillo Street. Palacio walked towards the females with the intention to mend the situation however, he was approached by two male persons known to him, both were armed with a knife and made several stabbing motions in his direction which caused injuries to his chest.
Palacio was treated and released. Police are investigating.
