By Breaking Belize News Staff: A 25-year-old Linda Vista resident is out on bail after being accused of assaulting a man with a pocketknife over the weekend.
Christopher Witzil appeared before Magistrate Ludlow Black in Court #1 on Monday, where he was read a single charge of aggravated assault with a dangerous instrument upon another man, reportedly using a black pocketknife during the alleged incident on Saturday, July 26, 2025.
Witzil pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of $2,000 plus one surety. Conditions of his bail include staying at least 100 feet away from the complainant, having no contact with prosecution witnesses, and reporting to Precinct 2, Queen Street Police Station every Friday starting August 1.
His next court appearance is scheduled for September 30, 2025.
