By Aaron Humes: Police have caught up to a man they accuse of sticking up a 22-year-old female on Sunday morning just after midnight.
30-year-old Sherman Rodney of Antelope Street Extension has been detained pending charges. As detailed by ASP Stacy Smith, Staff Officer: “[The complainant] reported that on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at approximately 12:05 a.m., she was walking on Antelope Street extension when she was robbed by a male person who brandish a knife and demanded that she handed over phone cash and jewelry that were in her position. The male person before making good has escaped, is reported to have kicked the female.”
Police investigations led to Rodney’s residence where a search resulted in the discovery of items believed to be the property of the robbery victim.
The search, per police, also uncovered 8.9 grams of suspected crack cocaine. For this, Rodney along with 26-year-old Jenay Stewart and 24-year-old Vincent Tillett have been jointly charged for the offense of possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply to another.
