Belize City man charged with theft of computer bag

By Aaron Humes: Police have made one arrest following a report of theft at a businessman’s residence on Friday morning. The resident of Manatee Drive was in the process of printing documents when he left his laptop bag on the stairs outside his home.

Police have formally arrested 27-year-old Josh Nicholas Flowers, a construction worker residing at Consuelo Street, Belize City, and charged him with theft in connection to the incident.

The businessman was alerted when he heard his dog barking insistently. Upon investigating the noise, he spotted a slim-built man with dark skin, clad in a white T-shirt and long jeans, wearing a helmet, hastily leaving his yard with the laptop bag in hand.

The stolen bag, valued at $100, contained several high-value items, including a 15-inch silver Apple laptop worth $3,500, an Anker brand card reader valued at $40, a USB-C hub worth $100, an assortment of computer accessories totaling $300, and various stationery items valued at $50 for a total value of $4,090.
