By Breaking Belize News Staff: Peter Searle, 58, a Belize City resident was charged in court on Tuesday after allegedly being busted with a crack pipe.
Searle appeared in court unrepresented and was read a single charge of possession of a utensil for smoking crack cocaine. He asked the court what his penalty would be if he pleaded guilty and upon hearing a fine would be unlikely due to previous charges of the same offense, he decided to plead not guilty.
He was offered bail in the sum of $800 but he had outstanding fines owed to the court in the sum of $3,000 so he was ordered to pay at least $1,000 before he could go free. He was arrested on March 15 on Price Avenue.
