Belize City gears up for Fire Engine parade and Bike competition to mark 227th Anniversary of Battle of St. George’s Caye

By Zoila Palma:  Residents of Belize City are eagerly anticipating tonight’s Fire Engine Parade, a highlight of the 227th anniversary celebrations of the historic Battle of St. George’s Caye.

Organized by the Belize City Council and the Belize National Fire Service, it promises a colorful and thrilling spectacle for the entire community.

In keeping with tradition, the parade will feature the city’s iconic fire engines on display, drawing crowds of all ages.

Adding to the excitement, the popular bike competition is returning, inviting participants to test their skills and compete for top honors.

Officials encourage everyone to come out and join the festivities, celebrating both Belize’s rich history and the spirit of community.
