By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize City Council has announced the closure of several downtown streets on Saturday, October 26, 2024, to facilitate the Downtown Super Sale on Albert Street. The streets will be closed from 6:00 am to 7:30 pm to ensure the smooth running of the event.
The streets to be closed are:
- Albert Street from Orange Street to Dean Street
- Regent Street from Treasury Lane to Battlefield Park
Motorists are advised to use Treasury Lane as a detour route to access the remainder of Regent Street
The affected streets include:
- Church Street from Albert Street to East Canal
- Orange Street from East Canal to Albert Street
- Bishop Street from Regent Street to East Canal
- Prince Street from East Canal to Regent Street
The Belize City Council apologizes for any inconvenience caused and encourages everyone to come out and enjoy the Downtown Super Sale – Anniversary Edition. This event aims to boost local commerce and provide a fun shopping experience for residents and visitors alike.
