By Zoila Palma: Deputy Mayor Eluide Miller, who also oversees Local Economic Development, Trade & Investment, and Small & New Business portfolios, represented the Belize City Council as a judge at the 2025 Plastic Solutions Academy, held in Belize City.
The event, organized by local nonprofit Sea of Life in partnership with BELTRAIDE and the Belize Fund for a Sustainable Future, featured a showcase of innovative pitches from emerging entrepreneurs across the country.
Each participant presented creative business ideas aimed at tackling plastic pollution through sustainable solutions.
Deputy Mayor Miller praised the energy and ingenuity on display, noting the importance of empowering young innovators in the fight for a greener future.
The Belize City Council applauds the efforts of all organizers, partners, and participants, and looks forward to further collaboration in building a cleaner, more sustainable Belize.
