By Zoila Palma: The Belize City Council has kicked off its annual Back to Basics: Math & English Summer Program, providing vital academic support to students through its Youth Connect Student Hub Network.
The initiative focuses on strengthening foundational skills in English and mathematics in preparation for the 2025–2026 school year.
Led by a dedicated facilitator and a team of youth tutors, the program offers personalized guidance to help students improve their comprehension and academic performance.
The sessions aim to equip participants with the tools needed for long-term success in the classroom.
This education-focused effort is a joint initiative between the Belize City Council and the Child Advisory Body of Belize City, highlighting the city’s ongoing commitment to youth development and learning opportunities throughout the summer and beyond.
