By Zoila Palma:  On November 6, 2026, the Battlefield Park was filled with the true spirit of giving as The Salvation Army Belize District officially launched its annual 2026 Christmas Kettle Campaign under the inspiring theme “Hope Marches On”.

Representing the Belize City Council on behalf of the Mayor, Councillor Stephanne Hamilton joined community members and partners for the opening ceremony, delivering warm greetings and reaffirming the Council’s strong commitment to supporting our most vulnerable residents this holiday season.

“The Christmas Kettle Campaign is vital in funding food assistance, care for individuals experiencing homelessness, and critical community support throughout the year,” the council said.

The council encouraged everyone in bringing hope and joy to families across the city.
