Belize City Council and the Child Advisory Body hosts Christmas Peewee Basketball Classic

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Young athletes and their parents had a blast these past weeks participating in the Belize City Council’s and the Belize City Child Advisory Body’s Christmas Peewee Basketball Classic.

The Belize City Council noted that after 2 weeks of basketball skill development, the Peewee Basketball Series closed with a friendly exhibition match between this season’s program participants, followed by a match between Peewee Parents and our infamous Dragons, joined by Deputy Mayor Pollard and some Councillor Candidates!

“Special thanks is extended to Mayor Bernard Wagner and Councillor Kaya Cattouse who continuously work to promote the inclusion of youth and sports, our program participants and their parents, our BCC Dragons, and our young volunteers who made this year’s Christmas Peewee Basketball Series a resounding success,” a statement from the Belize City Council said.
