By Zoila Palma: The Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) has announced that final preparations are underway for the 29th annual Expo Belize Market Place, set for September 13–14, 2025, at the Marion Jones Stadium in Belize City. Despite heavy rains over the past 24 hours, the Chamber said improvements made in collaboration with the National Sports Council—including enhanced drainage and field conditions—have prevented widespread flooding at the venue.
Organizers assured the public that additional measures are being taken to keep the grounds safe and accessible for both patrons and vendors throughout the weekend. With most of the rainfall expected to shift south in the coming days, the Chamber is encouraging Belizeans to come out and enjoy the wide variety of deals, products, food, and entertainment on offer from businesses, entrepreneurs, and artists.
To better support micro-businesses, the Expo’s start time has been adjusted to 10:00 a.m. each day. The BCCI is also urging the public to stay updated on any weather-related changes through its social media platforms, email lists, and text message alerts.
