By Zoila Palma:  Over the weekend, the Belize Tourism Board proudly joined the celebration of culture and creativity at the Black Vines 15th Anniversary Toast to Black Wineries & Diverse Art Festival held at Ciel Creative Space in Berkeley, California.

The BTB joined more than 1,000 professionals from Oakland and the Greater Bay Area at the event.

The event also served as an exciting pre-promotion for Vines in Paradise, taking place April 30 – May 3, 2026, in Placencia.

The evening featured a 25-minute jazz-infused reggae set by Belize’s own Nello Player, accompanied by Rayen Baldwin on the keyboard.

Made possible through collaboration between the Belize Tourism Board and the National Institute of Culture and History (NICH), their vibrant set perfectly captured the Vines in Paradise atmosphere and left the audience energized for what’s to come in Placencia this April.
