By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Belizeans can expect another mainly fair and warm day across the country, according to the National Meteorological Service. The general weather situation remains stable with warm conditions dominating.
The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny skies with a few cloudy spells today and clear to partly cloudy skies tonight. Showers or thunderstorms will be isolated and will occur mostly over the Maya Mountains this afternoon.
At sea, winds will be light and variable, creating slight seas with waves between 1 to 3 feet. Temperatures along the coast are expected to reach highs of 90°F (32°C) and lows of 79°F (26°C). Inland areas will see a warmer high of 95°F (35°C) and lows dipping to 70°F (21°C). In the hills, highs will peak at 84°F (29°C) with lows around 68°F (20°C).
Tides for today show a low at 11:27 a.m. followed by a high at 6:03 p.m. Another low comes at 9:24 p.m. before a high at 4:11 a.m. tomorrow. Sunset this evening is at 5:42 p.m. and sunrise tomorrow at 5:43 a.m.
Forecaster Tareek Matthews notes that skies on Wednesday will remain partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated showers or thunderstorms, mainly along the southern coast in the morning and over the Maya Mountains in the afternoon. A slight increase in shower activity is expected over southern and coastal areas late Wednesday night.
