On January 8, 2025, Prime Minister John Briceño, Foreign Minister Francis Fonseca, and CEO H.E. Amalia Mai bade farewell to outgoing Ambassador Kwan at a farewell event.
The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister specifically acknowledged Ambassador Kwan’s contributions to and support of strengthening bilateral relations.
“I firmly believe Michelle Kwan has been one of the most successful ambassadors the U.S. has sent to Belize, she has done exceedingly well, at national and international levels,” PM Briceño expressed recently.
“She was all across Belize visiting and going to the villages and meeting with the community and NGO’s,” he added.
The Prime Minister also said that through the efforts of Ambassador Kwan, U.S. high level delegations visited Belize.
