Belize Bank opens doors on Caye Caulker!

By Horace Palacio: After years of anticipation, Belize Bank Limited has officially opened its first branch on Caye Caulker Village. The new location brings an end to inconvenient mainland banking trips for residents and businesses.

The branch opening was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic and a tight real estate market due to the island’s post-pandemic tourism boom. However, a suitable location was secured, and the branch is now fully operational.

“This is a major convenience boost for our community,” said Seleny Villanueva-Pott, Caye Caulker Village Chairlady. “Accessible banking supports our growing business sector.”

Located on Capoose Street, the branch offers an ATM, full banking services, and is led by Branch Manager Imer Cordova. Belize Bank Executive Chairman Filippo Alario emphasized the bank’s focus on bringing both traditional and digital banking solutions to the island.
