By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize’s National Athletics Team arrived in Guatemala on Thursday, October 16, bound for Quetzaltenango where they will compete in the 12th Central American Games over the coming days.

At 7,982 feet above sea level, Quetzaltenango’s elevation adds a layer of intensity to sprint, middle-distance, and field events, demanding both physical adaptation and mental focus.

The Belize contingent features four standout athletes:

The team is led by Head Coach Frederick Evans, with Jada Parchue serving as Head of Delegation.

Belize’s presence in Quetzaltenango reflects its commitment to regional athletics development and international representation. The team carries both experience and promise as they prepare to compete against top talent from across Central America.
