By Zoila Palma: A delegation from Taiwan visited the University of Belize’s Central Farm Campus on October 27, 2026, as part of efforts to strengthen academic partnerships and promote collaboration in agriculture, innovation and education.
The delegation was welcomed by Egbert Irving, Director at the University of Belize, along with university staff, for a guided tour of the campus.
The visiting delegation included representatives from TaiwanICDF, the Taiwan Technical Mission and partner institutions National Dong Hwa University, Ming Chuan University, Kun Shan University and Meiho University.
During the visit, the group toured campus facilities and learned about the University of Belize’s key areas of focus, particularly Smart Agriculture and Agro-Processing.
The visit provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange knowledge, explore areas of mutual interest and strengthen ties between Belizean and Taiwanese academic institutions.
