Belize Agriculture Department facilitates exchange visit to enhance Agricultural Education

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, the Belize Agriculture Department partnered with schools and farmers in the Belize District for an exchange visit aimed at enriching agricultural education. 

The event focused on sharing knowledge, fostering growth, and bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world application.

Participating schools, including Ladyville Technical High School, Kings College, and Ladyville Evangelical Primary School, explored sites in the Orange Walk District such as the Belize High School of Agriculture, Carmelita Primary School, and Peter Penner pitahaya field.

The Ministry noted that the exchange facilitated knowledge sharing, particularly from the Orange Walk District, empowering attendees to enhance their agricultural practices. 

The Belize Agriculture Department extended gratitude to all participants for their dedication to advancing agricultural education, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable practices and empowering future farmers.
