Belikin Ruta Maya Belize River Challenge: Memory Lane Global Mission win Stage 3, maintain lead over defending champions Slim & Trim Like Guava Limb

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belikin Ruta Maya Belize River Challenge is winding down with defending champions Slim and Trim like Guava Limb making a final bid to overturn the 2.315 seconds lead that Memory Lane Global Mission have over them. However, but Global Mission aren’t allowing Slim and Trim to get away as they approach Belize City in the final leg from Burrell Boom on Monday morning.

On Sunday, Stage 3 saw fierce competition as paddlers raced from Double Head Cabbage to Burrell Boom. Memory Lane Global Missions was again victorious, for a third stage in a row, narrowly edging out the defending champions, Slim & Trim Like Guava Limb, to secure the top position both for the stage and the general classification.

The competition was tight, with Memory Layne Global Missions (CA) narrowly clinching the top spot with a time of 04:40:28.90, just a fraction of a second ahead of Slim & Trim Like Guava Limb (M), who finished at 04:40:29.86. The UPS Lucas Oil (Mix) team secured third place with a time of 04:40:33.37.

The Belikin Ruta Maya Belize River Challenge continues to be a thrilling event, drawing participants and spectators from all over. The race ends on Monday morning by the Courthouse Wharf in Belize City.
