The Costa Rican Volleyball Federation (FECOVOL) saluted the achievement with the headline: “¡BELICE ES DE ORO!
SCA’s path to the title was marked by resilience, precision, and an undefeated run. The Belizean side opened their campaign on Saturday, October 4, with a hard-fought 2–0 win over Nicaragua’s Colegio San Francisco Hermanos Maristas (25–23, 25–22). On Sunday, they stunned Costa Rica’s Liceo Experimental Bilingüe de Turrialba in their first meeting (25–22, 25–18), securing top position in their group.
In Monday’s semifinal, SCA dispatched Guatemala’s Liceo Javier (25–22, 25–19), displaying their consistency and tactical discipline. That set the stage for Tuesday’s final—a rematch with the Costa Rican champions, who had advanced after a three-set win over Panama’s Colegio José Daniel Crespo.

Final Showdown: Grit and Glory
Despite having beaten Turrialba earlier in the tournament, the final proved far more intense. Both sets went deep into extra points, with SCA holding their nerve in the closing moments to secure Belize’s CODICADER volleyball gold at the U15 level.
The match was a showcase of emotional grit, defensive tenacity, and clutch execution. SCA’s players, led by their coaching staff and buoyed by national pride, delivered under pressure and sealed the win in front of a packed crowd.

This gold medal marks a historic achievement for Belizean school sports. Last year in San Salvador, SCA earned bronze, alongside St John’s College (SJC) in the boys’ U18 division. This year, SJC finished fifth in the U15 after defeating El Salvador and Honduras in placement matches.
SCA’s triumph not only reflects their national dominance—having won the Belize championship for umpteen years—but also their growing stature in regional competition. Their performance in San José was built on teamwork, tactical discipline, and emotional grit.
