By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Beacon Softball Club captured their fourth consecutive National Women’s Softball Championship on Sunday evening at Rogers Stadium, edging the Belize Bank Ekyash Bulldogs 3–2 in a tense final that capped off three days of elite competition. The win shows how dominant Beacon have become in Belizean women’s softball, extending a title streak that began in 2022.
Organized by the Belize Softball Federation, the XXXIII edition of the championship featured eight district teams and 176 athletes from Belize City, Belize Rural, Cayo District, and Orange Walk. From Friday’s opening pitch to Sunday’s final showdown, the tournament celebrated the strength and skill of Belizean women in the sport.

Group Play Highlights
The tournament opened Friday night with three decisive matchups:
- Roaring Creek Grace Kennedy 5–0 Beverly Hills Flames (Lord’s Bank)
- Beacon Softball Club 12–0 Doublehead Cabbage Unity
- Belize Bank Bulldogs 7–0 Double G Defenders
Saturday’s action saw six games that shaped the semifinal bracket:
- Esperanza Wolverines 2–0 Palmar Jaguars
- Roaring Creek Grace Kennedy 6–3 Double G Defenders
- Belize Bank Bulldogs 10–0 Beverly Hills Flames
- Beacon Softball Club 12–1 Esperanza Wolverines
- Palmar Jaguars 4–3 Doublehead Cabbage Unity
- Belize Bank Bulldogs 8–1 Roaring Creek Grace Kennedy

Final Round Results
Sunday’s semifinals delivered high drama:
- Beacon 5–4 Roaring Creek Grace Kennedy
- Belize Bank Bulldogs 11–4 Esperanza Wolverines
In the championship match, Beacon held off a late Bulldogs rally to win 3–2 and secure their fourth straight title. Roaring Creek Grace Kennedy claimed third place with a 3–2 victory over Esperanza.
