A new minimum monthly wage of Tk 12,800 for export processing zone workers has been finalsed by the Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority.
It includes a basic salary of Tk 6,950, half of the basic for house rent and Tk 2,375 as medical allowances.
The revision is a 56.25-per cent raise over the minimum now.
