By Zoila Palma: Beloved pediatrician Dr. Cecilio Eck continues to battle cancer.
During a video message posted and shared to his Facebook, Dr. Eck said that near the middle of December, he began having pain in his hips and it was so bad that he could not walk.
“After several scans were done here and in Mexico City, I found out that I did have in fact spread to the spine, in the hips and the ribcage. So my chemotherapy was stopped and I started to a new one today. In all this I know that God is present.”
“That’s for all your prayers and all your support,” Dr. Eck said.
His niece Allisandra is now hosting a bake sale fundraiser to support Dr. Eck with expenses.
“As my uncle continues his cancer treatment journey, we’re hosting a bake sale fundraiser. We’ll have snack boxes and pastries for sale, and pastry donations are welcome as well,” she said.
The fundraiser will be held at the Coral Grove Medical & Pediatric Center on Friday, January 23rd from10:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
“Whether you’re able to stop by, donate, or simply share this post, thank you for showing up for our family during this time. Your support truly means more than we can say,” Allisandra expressed.
