By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Agricultural Health Authority (BAHA) marked its 25th Anniversary with a celebration of dedication and service during its 2025 Staff Appreciation and Recognition Day. Among the highlights of the event was the honouring of Anabella Alfaro and Yamili Vasquez, who were recognized for 15 years of outstanding service to the organization.
Presented with commemorative awards, Alfaro, an Administrative Assistant, and Vasquez, the Human Resources Director, stood proudly as symbols of BAHA’s enduring commitment to agricultural health, food safety, and public service. Their contributions span over a decade of technical expertise, institutional growth, and unwavering professionalism.
Held in a spirit of camaraderie and reflection, the Staff Appreciation and Recognition Day brought together employees from across the country to celebrate BAHA’s journey since its founding in 2000. The event not only honoured individual achievements but also reinforced the organization’s role in safeguarding Belize’s agricultural integrity and supporting national development.
