By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A business owner in Orange Walk has reported the theft of a vehicle key and car battery from his auto diagnostics shop after surveillance footage showed a man entering the compound late at night. The incident was reported at Mike’s Auto Diagnostics on the Philip Goldson Highway on Saturday, November 22nd, 2025.
According to the complainant, 58-year-old David, his bodywork mechanic informed him around 8:00 a.m. that he was preparing to return a vehicle to its owner but could not find the key. The office secretary reviewed the surveillance camera and discovered that on November 18th, at around 11:22 p.m., a man identified as Adley jumped the chain-link gate and walked toward the area where several vehicles were parked.
The footage shows the man removing a vehicle key valued at $700 BZ from a 2013 silver Chevrolet Cruze, then heading to a 2016 grey Range Rover SUV, where he removed an AC Delco car battery worth $600 BZ. The total value of the stolen items is $1,300 BZ.
A formal statement has been recorded, and the case is being followed up as the investigation continues.
