By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A father in August Pine Ridge Village, Orange Walk District, is seeking answers after his 32-year-old son was found bleeding and unconscious from what appears to be a violent chopping attack early Wednesday morning.

Police say the victim arrived at his father’s home around 3:00 a.m. on November 5 with severe wounds to the head, arm, and back. His father said his son collapsed at the door, bleeding heavily, and was then transported to the hospital.

Officers visited the Northern Regional Hospital at about 7:25 a.m., where they found the victim receiving emergency care. Police observed multiple open chop wounds, and the attending doctor reported that the injuries are life-threatening.

Authorities are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack. It remains unclear where or why the incident occurred, but police have launched a full investigation and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
