By Breaking Belize News Staff: The UDP’s internal rifts have once again burst into public view, with UDP stalwart Alberto August publicly blasting Lee Mark Chang in a stinging rebuke posted online.
August accused Chang of protecting financial interests with the PUP while undermining his own party’s leadership. He claimed Chang receives nearly $20,000 monthly from the PUP and is therefore unable or unwilling to criticize the Briceño administration.
“While the majority of UDP supporters are expressing positive remarks regarding the Party Leader accepting the invitation… this fella is the sole voice criticizing the show of unity,” August wrote, referring to Shyne Barrow and Tracy Panton marching together on September 10th.
August said he would not remain silent as long as Chang continues to “wag the opposition dog” and collect money from the PUP.
“I am 100% convinced that THIS FELLA is BAD for the UDP,” he concluded.
