By Aaron Humes: In the murder case of Arnaldo “Don Colo” Vellos, police have arrested two suspects believed to be involved in the deadly shooting that took place on October 31, 2025. Brandon Alexander Sanker, 20, and 23-year-old Kevon Wayne Armstrong have both been charged with murder, while Sanker faces an additional charge of attempted murder.
Vellos was heading towards his vehicle when witnesses claim that he was approached by two men, one of whom opened fire, delivering fatal shots that struck Vellos in the head.
Assistant Commissioner Hilberto Romero, Head of the National Crimes Investigation Branch, provided details during a press conference at the time: “[The information] we are receiving is that it was drug-related…”
Eyewitnesses recounted that earlier in the day, two men had visited Vellos’s residence inquiring about his whereabouts. After he returned, one of the men, who had allegedly been waiting nearby, swiftly approached and shot him at close range. After Vellos fell to the ground, the gunman reportedly fired two more shots at a family member who rushed to his aid.
