By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Last night, parts of the country experienced power outages due to temporary in-country generation shortages and curtailment from Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE).
Several feeders were part of the load shedding schedule up until 2:30 am today.
“Our tentative load shedding schedule is based on energy demand and generation projections, which can quickly change throughout the day.
Load shedding is the deliberate reduction of load to match available generation at a given time by disconnecting feeders or sections of feeders from the grid to prevent the collapse of the entire system,” Belize Electricity Limited noted.
