American national suspected of killing wife allegedly hangs self at police station

By Aaron Humes: A Police sources has confirmed that 20-year-old Jaquan Smith, American national, was found hanging by the neck in a holding cell at the Corozal Town Police Station.

Smith apparently used his pants to wrap around his neck in the cell, as police typically remove belts, shoelaces and other items that can be used for self-harm during processing at the station

Smith had told police of the death of his daughter’s mother Breeann Ella Kyle, 41, in Libertad, Corozal District. She was found with stab wounds while the baby was unharmed.

Smith allegedly crashed his car on the Philip Goldson Highway in what is believed to be a previous suicide attempt.

Their daughter, ten months old, is now sadly orphaned.
