By Aaron Humes: Bradley Paumen, an American businessman and resort owner, was shot in a violent home invasion at his property in Franks Eddy Village, Cayo District, on Wednesday evening. Paumen, 68, was defending his family when he was shot in the back and chest.
According to police reports, three masked men entered the Paumens’ home around 5:30 p.m., taking his wife and her children hostage. The intruders ransacked the house, demanding valuables, and shot Bradley Paumen twice when they couldn’t access a safe using a password.
Paumen, who struggled with the attackers and narrowly avoided also being shot in the head, is currently receiving treatment at Western Regional Hospital. The suspects fled with a safe containing cash and jewelry.
Police are investigating.
