By Zoila Palma: On April 28, 2026, Mexican officials bid farewell to Ambassador of Belize, Oscar Arnold.
According to reports, Ambassador Arnold is returning home and CEO in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Amalia Mai takes up that post.
During an interview on X-TV, Prime Minister John Briceno said, “Ambassador Arnold was very successful in Mexico and Minister Fonseca felt he can be very helpful at the Ministry. Amalia is among our most seasoned and successful diplomats. Both of them will do well in their new post.”
Ambassador Arnold will work as CEO in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with Minister Francis Fonseca.
