Alrick Lamb arraigned for contempt of court

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Alrick Lamb, 28, appeared in court on Thursday facing two counts of contempt of a judicial order. Lamb, who arrived in a prison van before noon, stood unrepresented before Magistrate Lois Young as he was read the charges.

The first count alleges that Lamb, having been granted bail for being a member of a gang on October 10, 2023, was ordered to report to Racoon Street Police Station every Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. until his case concluded. Lamb allegedly neglected to obey this order without reasonable excuse.

Additionally, Lamb was accused of violating another bail condition prohibiting him from being arrested and charged with any other offenses. Court records indicate he was charged with offenses of boisterous behavior and loitering while out on bail.

Lamb pleaded not guilty to both counts and was granted bail in the sum of $1,000, which he met with one surety of the same amount. His next court appearance is scheduled for June 24, 2024. At the time of his arrest, Lamb was already out on bail for the offense of being a member of a gang.
