By Aaron Humes: Police have arrested and charged 33-year-old Janathan Abner Flores of Hattieville, Belize District, for the crimes of harm of a dead body and disinterment of a body.
Flores is accused of disturbing the tomb of a 63-year-old woman laid to rest on Saturday, February 28, after dying eight days earlier. Police found the tomb broken into and the body tampered with and restored it after a medical examination.
Flores’ motive, if any, is not known, and according to police sources, he is alleged to be suffering from mental illness.
