By Breaking Belize News Staff: The murder case against Sidney Peyreffitte, the man accused in the shooting death of Belize City street figure Kenneth “Big Tom” Flowers, was adjourned yet again on Tuesday after prosecutors indicated that the case file is still not ready.
Peyreffitte, 50, a Belizean tour guide with Exotic Shore and a resident of Mile 8½ George Price Highway, made another appearance in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court, marking his fifth court appearance since being charged.
He has been on remand at the Belize Central Prison for the past six months following his October 8, 2025 arraignment for Flowers’ murder.
Police allege that Peyreffitte is responsible for the fatal shooting of Flowers, better known as “Big Tom,” who was gunned down on Monday, October 6, 2025, on Sittee Street, Belize City.
Although the matter is ordinarily before the Chief Magistrate in Court #1, Peyreffitte appeared on Tuesday before a Senior Magistrate in Court #2.
With no case file yet prepared, the matter was once again adjourned, and Peyreffitte is now scheduled to return to court on Monday, May 11, 2026.
Peyreffitte remains unrepresented.
