Myvette pleaded not guilty. Due to the firearm allegation, bail was denied at the Magistrate’s Court level and he was remanded to prison until October 9, 2026.

The charge stems from a shooting reported at around 7:00 p.m. on August 11 near the corner of Mamie Road and Perez Road in Ladyville.

According to police, the victim was riding his motorcycle from Perez Road onto Mamie Road when he was allegedly confronted by two men travelling on a bicycle.

He told investigators that he recognized one of the men as Myvette. He alleged that Myvette pulled what appeared to be a black-and-chrome 9mm pistol from his waistband, pointed it in his direction and fired approximately seven to nine shots.

The man reportedly accelerated away on his motorcycle and escaped without being injured. The two men then allegedly fled the area.

Police processed the scene and recorded a statement from the complainant, who identified Myvette as the alleged shooter.

A wanted poster was subsequently circulated, and Myvette was detained by police on August 15.

Police say that during an interview conducted in the presence of a Justice of the Peace, Myvette acknowledged knowing the complainant but denied firing any shots or being involved in the shooting.
