By Aaron Humes: Police have detailed the circumstances surrounding the murder tonight of Darnell Puerto, 30, a car dealer of Tibruce Street, and attempted murder of Jehvon Ramclam, 26, a disc jockey.
Ramclam spoke to a man who came to see his son, whose mother lives on Maskall Street. He told him that she was not at home, and the assailant responded, “Watch you mouth, [ah] wah come back fih you.”
Ramclam and Puerto were at the street side in front of the yard when the attacker returned and fired several shots at them from a black car. Puerto was pronounced dead on arrival at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) while Ramclam was admitted in stable condition with multiple gunshot wounds.
Police have identified the suspects and begun an investigation.
